Bukovcan, Charles (August 9, 1925 - May 27, 2011)


Charles Bukovcan 85, of Rib Lake, died Wednesday April 27, 2011 at the Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake.


Services were held on Monday May 2 at the Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Medford with Carl Bishop officiating. Burial with military honors took place at Hillcrest Cemetery in the town of Spirit in Price County.


Charles Bukovcan was born August 9, 1925 in the town of Greenfield in Milwaukee County to Nicola Bukovcan and Julia Nadjakovich.


He was a Navy veteran serving in World War II and Korea. After the wars he returned to Milwaukee area working at the Pressed Steel Tank Company as a supervisor. He moved up north in 1996 where he could enjoy nature, hunting and fishing.


Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Darlene) of Racine and Darryl of Rib Lake; three daughters, Charlene (Dennis) Weller of Franklin, Charlotte (Patrick) Czarnecki of Oak Creek, and Alison (Tim) Busack of Mukwonago; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.


Charles was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
