Blenker

Harvey Andress of Marshfield, was a visitor in this town last week.

B. Linzmeir is the proud owner of a brand new cutter, and is now the shining light of this town.

We are thankful to your Sherry correspondent for his words of encouragement, and although we don’t mind a ride on the railroad we have no love for a ride on a fence rail.

The dance at Schafhauser’s last Sunday was well attended and the winners of the prizes were Henry J. Blenker, first; Miss T. Brandt, second; and F. Beranek, third. We are sure all had a good time.

Among those who attended the Schafhauser wedding were Otto Backhaus, Henry Horn and Mrs. Brandl of Marshfield. Henry says he did not have much of a time and was glad when the train came in. What is the matter with Henry?

Blenker had a dance in his hall Tuesday night which was a success in every way. The masks were too lovely for anything although they were called a fright by someone. The best one we saw was Max Grassel in an Indian character, being fixed up in a way it is impossible to describe.

There was a school teachers’ meeting here last Saturday which was attended by all the teachers of Sherry, Milladore and Auburndale. We could not find out what was going on but we know that the principals in the meeting were County Superintendent Leu, Miss Provost, Miss Juneau and Miss Sweet. Mr. Smith from Auburndale and Mr. Oakly of Sherry, were at hand and also addressed the meeting.
