Beeskau, Virginia Rose (4 Mar. 1922 - 20 Dec. 2008)

Virginia R. Beeskau, 86, of Marshfield, died Sat. Dec. 20, 2008, at the Marshfield Care Center.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Dec. 27, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church Sat. Hansen Schilling Funeral Home (200 W. 3rd St., Marshfield, Wis.), is assisting the family with arrangements.

A complete obituary will be published in Tues.'s edition of the Marshfield News-Herald.

Virginia R. Beeskau, 86, of Marshfield, died Sat. Dec. 20, 2008, at the Marshfield Care Center with her family by her side.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. Dec. 27, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Mary Castner will be the organist with Duane Helgerson providing special music. Private family interment of ashes will be at a later date.

Serving as pallbearers will be Virginia's grandchildren, Jill Helgerson, Jackie Rhoades, Jon Schalow, Jeff Pieters and Jenny Chamberlain. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Sat.

The Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements. Virginia Rose Beeskau was born in Racine, on March 4, 1922, to Earl and Julia (Louden) Allen. She attended and graduated from Rufus-King High school in 1940 and later attended Carroll College in Waukesha.

On Sept. 12, 1942, in Milwaukee, the former Virginia Rose Allen was united in holy marriage to Gustave Beeskau. The couple lived in the Milwaukee area and Virginia applied her education at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Wisconsin. After her retirement, the couple headed south to a warmer climate. Virginia and Gustave lived in the Phoenix area for many years. Mrs. Beeskau moved back to Wisconsin to be near her family when Gustave died in 2001. Upon returning to Marshfield in 2001, she resided at the Angelus Assisted Living Center until March of 2008 when she entered the Marshfield Care Center.

Virginia enjoyed listening to music, traveling with her husband, cooking, tending her rose garden and the warm Arizona Sun.her greatest love was that of her family. The time she was able to spend with her daughters and their families was her ultimate joy.

Mrs. Beeskau is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Diane (Robert) Pieters, Huburtus, and Jane (Jim) Schalow, Marshfield. She is further survived by five grandchildren, Jeff Pieters, Rochester, Minn., Jenny (Jack) Chamberlain, West Bend, Jill (Paul) Helgerson, Marshfield, Jackie (Joel) Rhoades, Spring Green and Jon (Mary Erickson) Schalow, Marshfield; eight great-grandchildren, Margaret and Henry Pieters, Lauren and Elena Chamberlain, Jordyn and Aidan Helgerson and Seth and Rece Rhoades; one sister, Nancy Allen, Appleton; along with numerous relatives and friends.

Her parents, her husband Gustave, and one sister Judy, in infancy, preceded Virginia in death. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Mrs. Beeskau's name are encouraged to do so to: Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1208 W, 14th St., Marshfield, WI 54449.
