Clara A. Weigel, 95, of Marshfield died Wed., Dec. 31, 2008, at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon., Jan. 5, 2009, at Saint John's Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sun. Jan. 4, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) with a Parish Council of Catholic Women's rosary service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara A. Weigel, 95, of Marshfield died Wed., Dec. 31, 2008, at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Mon., Jan. 5, 2009, at Saint John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles D. Stoetzel. Suzanne Golden will be the organist, along with Saint John's Church Funeral Choir.  Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody, Slade and Connor Brock, Chad, Ben and John Kraus Jr.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sun. Jan. 4, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) with a Parish Council of Catholic Women's rosary service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clara was born May 28, 1913, in the town of Frankfort, Marathon County, to August and Rosa (Bach) Bargander. She also attended school in Frankfort.

She was united in marriage to Wendelin R.Weigel on Nov. 24, 1938, at Saint John's Catholic Church. Windy died July 29, 2002.

Clara was a lifelong resident of Marshfield and recently had moved to Mondovi. She enjoyed eating out, gardening, canning, sewing and knitting. She and Windy also enjoyed traveling, especially on their trip to Rome and Israel.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Patricia) Weigel of Marshfield, Sharon (Paul) Wegner of Eleva, and a son-in-law Joseph (Darlene) Kraus of Rozellville; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is further survived by a sister, Dora (Sylvan) Griesbach of Rozellville.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Patricia Kraus, three brothers and five sisters.

Memorials may be given in Clara's name to Saint John's Catholic Church.
