Schoengarth, Delores (Marriage – 10 March 1951)

Miss Delores Schoengarth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Schoengarth of Greenwood, became the bride of Bernard Walker of Willard, son of Mrs. Viola Walker of Willard on March 10, 1951 at a ceremony performed at the Methodist Church at Fairchild.

The Rev. Joseph Mason performed the double ring ceremony before 75 guests. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in the traditional white satin. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and red roses.

Ruby Holman, maid of honor, was gowned in a pink taffeta gown. Sylvia Brooks, bridesmaid, was gowned in a blue taffeta dress. They both carried bouquets of yellow jonquils. They wore necklaces, gifts of the bride.

Merlon Schoengarth acted as best man and Durward Walker was groomsman. Robert Schoengarth and Harold Walker were the ushers.

The young couple will be at home in Loyal, where the groom is employed in farming.
