Shaw, Lucille W. (6 August 1934 – November 6, 2009)

 

Lucille W. Shaw, 91, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, in the Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls.

 

Lucille was born in Neillsville to Cleve and Addie (Aspland) Evans.  She married Louis Shaw Aug. 6, 1934.  In 1946, they moved to Black River Falls.

 

Lucille was an active member of the United Methodist Church.  Her lifelong interests included quilting, craft work and painting.  Christmas time was her favorite time of year, and she enjoyed baking holiday treats for family and friends.

 

Lucille is survived by her three sons, Louis Shaw Jr., Black River Falls, Richard (Barbara) Shaw, Evans, GA, and Roger (Patricia) Shaw, Oshkosh; 11 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by an older brother, Clyde Evans, Sonora, CA; three nieces and a nephew.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; sister, Betty Free; brother, Wilfred Evans; niece, Sandy Smock; daughter-in-law, Sally (Mrs. Louis Shaw, Jr.) and parents.

 

Arrangements for a family service are pending.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church, or Pine View Care Center Auxiliary.
