Wiggen, Myron C. (22 Jan. 1898 – 16 Dec. 1958)

Myron C. Wiggen 60, of Black River Falls, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 1958 while at work at the Norman Peterson farm in the Town of Albion. He was assisting in loading a truck when he suffered a heart attack.

Born and raised in Jackson county in the Town of Albion he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John P. Wiggen. His father had been born in Norway and came to America in 1880 and settled in the Town of Albion in 1890 and on the farm where his sons still make their home, in 1898. He passed away August 22, 1942. His mother who was Julia Peterson prior to her marriage October 29, 1891 passed away at the home August 3, 1944. Her son, Myron, who had employment on the railroad prior to her last illness gave up his position there and returned home the November before her passing to assist in her care. Mrs. Wiggen was born in the Town of Albion August 2, 1868 on the farm owned and operated for many years by her only brother, the late "Big Pete" Peterson.

Myron Wiggen is survived by three brothers, Eman, Bernie and John, each of whom live on the home place in the Town of Albion.

Funeral services for him will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Little Norway Lutheran church with the Rev. A. M. Rusten officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Langlois Galston Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening.
