Garbisch, Alfred Paul (2 November 1901 - 22 June 1968)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for Alfred Paul Garbisch, 66, of Memorial Home, who died here Saturday. The Rev. William Dushek of the United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Garbisch was born November 2, 1901, in Clark County and received his education in county schools. He worked for 21 years at the American Stores Dairy Company and later operated a milk route in the Neillsville area. After that he worked at various jobs in the county until February, 1968, when he retired due to failing health. He was married on November 26, 1922, in Neillsville to Gladys Genette, who died in 1951.

Mr. Garbisch is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Annabelle) Anding of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hale of Black River Falls and Mrs. Guy (Laura) Lloyd of Beloit; a brother, Harry Garbisch of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; and by 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers* were Wilbur Sanger, Warren Medicke, William Lindow, George Wegner, Clyde Brown and Eugene Cattanach. Organist was Mrs. Albert Grimm.

People from out-of-town attending the funeral included: Thomas Gallagher of Mukwonago; Mr. and Mrs. George Bramble of Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. M. Jones of Baraboo; Robert Wegner, Mrs. Louise LaBarge and Dorothy Pickering of Sheldon; Mrs. Dick Silvernale of Ladysmith; Gertrude E. Schoepf and son of San Jose, Cal.; and Mrs. Robert Ellarson of Madison. Many relatives and friends from Marshfield, Granton, Neillsville and Chili also attended.

People from out-of-town here for the service were: Mrs. Martha Hale and Mr. And Mrs. Everett Hale and family of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Arno Winter, Lyle Smith, Mr. and Mrs. William Howard and daughter of Granton.
