Foelske, Janice A. (1947)

Binning-Foelske

During a noon ceremony at the Loyal Methodist Church Saturday, October 11, Miss Janice A. Foelske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foelske, Loyal, was married to Ray E. Binning, Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Binning, Unity. The Rev. Lee Holmes read the service.

Mrs. Glens Owens, Waukesha, as matron of honor wore matching elbow length mitts with her mossgreen crepe formal which was styled with a bustle back, ending in a short train. She carried a shower bouquet of gold colored chrysanthmums [sic]. The bridesmaids, Miss Veryl Foelske, sister of the bride, and Miss Lorraine Missling of Whitewater, wore similar gowns russet-colored and carried shower bouquets of gold and purple mums. Another sister of the bride, Miss Norma Foelske, and Miss Jean Perricks, Buffalo Center, Iowa, ushered in similar gold colored formals.

The bride wore an entrained gown of white satin cut princess style. Her finger-tip veil, edged in satin, was caught to a beaded tiara. She carried a purple orchid on a white Bible.

About 70 guests attended a reception held in the church parlors that afternoon.

The bride, a graduate of the Loyal High School and the Mounds Midway School of nursing, St. Paul, was employed at the Mounds Park Hospital until Sept. 20. The bridegroom graduated from the Unity High School with the class of 1937 and is a veteran of the Army.

After a 10-day wedding trip to Southern Wisconsin, Chicago and Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Binning will make their home on the farm near Spencer.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
