Fleischmann, Darlene Ann (Marriage - 1968)

Married by the Rev. Robert Bitter in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville Saturday at 4 p.m. were Miss Darlene Ann Fleischmann of Rt. 3 Neillsville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Fleischmann, and Larry L. Benedict, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Benedict of Rt. 2 Loyal.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Ed Schoenherr was the soloist and was accompanied at the organ by Victor Lehmann.

For her wedding the bride chose a floor-length A-line gown of nylon lace -over-satin, the bodice of which featured long sleeves and a square neckline studded with pearls. A long train cascaded from the back. A fingertip veil of nylon tulle was held in place by a crown of pearls and rhinestones. Her bridal bouquet was made of daisy chrysanthemums and yellow roses.

Mis Darlene McCarty served as maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Iris Petke of Withee and Mrs. Karen Selves of Neillsville. The aides wore identically styled dresses of crepe with the maid-of-honor wearing pale yellow and the bridesmaids wearing light green. Their gowns were A-line style, in floor length. Each carried a bouquet of daisies. Noelle Rungquist of Eagle, as flowergirl, wore a gown styled identically to that of the bride.

Jerome Stremikis of Willard served as bestman, while William Selves of Neillsville and Dennis Fleischmann were groomsmen. Ushers were Donald Benedict and Emil Fleischmann.

The bride, a 1966 graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed at Memorial Home in Neillsville. The groom, a 1964 graduate of Loyal High School, is employed at Gunias dairy in the Town of York.

Mr. and Mrs. Benedict are residing at 208 E. Division St. Neillsville.
