Neillsville Locals (5 September 1968)

Mrs. Kenneth McLay and four children of Poplar Grove visited Saturday with the Rev. and Mrs. E. G. Burtness. Mrs. Corrine Moe of Janesville visited Sunday at the Burtness home.

Mis Wendy Schield and Mrs. Wayne Short were hostesses at a prenuptial shower Wednesday evening of last week at the Dr. Carroll N. Schield home, honoring Miss Ann Lukes, who is to be married September 14.

Miss Ann Lukes and her fiancé, Gary Thacher of Minneapolis, Minn., were guests last week Wednesday of Miss Lukes’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lukes. Also visiting there the same day were Mr. and Mrs. Roland Thacher of Preston, Minn.

Thelma Olson of Neenah and Mrs. Alice Herman of Appleton spent a few days last week visiting Miss Estelle Krejci and her sister, Mrs. Emma Hemp.

Mr. and Mrs. Tim J. Dunn of Racine arrived Saturday morning for a weekend visit in Greenwood and Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Dunn helped his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Dunn of Greenwood, move to Medford, where they have purchased a home. Their daughter, Rhonda, stayed with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carl, in the Town of Washburn.

The Rev. and Mrs. E. M. Kennedy of Pocahontas, Ark., and Mrs. Luberta Shore of St. Louis, Mo., visited a few days last week with their sister, Mrs. Maxine Schmidt, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hrasky and Franklin to Waukesha Saturday, where they were guests at the William Tullis home. The Hraskys continued on into Milwaukee. Charles Scholtz of Germantown was a supper gust Saturday at the Tullis home and in the evening was accompanied by his parents to Germantown, where thy spent Sunday and Monday with him. They returned home Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Hrasky.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greeler, accompanied by Arthur Falk, attended funeral services Saturday in Bloomer for their aunt, Mrs. Leila Limp, 81.

Mr. and Mrs. Milan Bartz of Cudahy were weekend visitors at the Antoinette Cram and Mildred Bartz homes.

Dist. Atty. and Mrs. Norman Saracoff spent the Labor day weekend camping in northern Michigan and visiting friends.

Guests five days last week at the home of Dist. Atty. and Mrs. Norman Saracoff and family were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Saracoff, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Saracoff and Sophia Pazloch, all of Michigan City, Ind.

Mr. and Mrs. Cappy Weeks of Everett, Wash., are spending this week visiting his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Subke, Sr. Mr. Weeks, born and raised in Clark County, left 42 years ago for Washington and this is his first visit back here. Mr. and Mrs. Subke and their guests visited another sister, Mrs. Joe Metycka, and family in Cadott Monday. They also visited cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Leif Weeks and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Weeks, in Cornell.
