Dells Dam (22 Jul 1915)

Good roads now make fine driving for automobiles, but when they drive at the rate of 40 miles an hour, frighten horses and throw drivers into the ditch, and never stop to see whether or not anyone was hurt, it is time to put a stop to such carelessness.

The town board met Tuesday to approve the assessment roll and to see how much you are worth.

The town board and Frank Hewett laid out the road between sections 29 and 30 and between 29 and 32, running east and then running south between sections 33 and 34 to the county line Monday. This will be a fine stretch of road when completed.

Rev. Pinney and family enjoyed a visit among friends here several days last week.

Norman Leighton and wife spent Sunday evening at Aug. Anderson’s.

The surprise party at Claude Schilling’s was a success.

The social at the church was well attended and all report a fine time.

Mr. and Mrs. Arney Bacon of Black River Falls visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.D. Schultz, also Mrs. Blincoe of Alma Center.
