Alma Muehler (30 May 1890 – 27 Dec 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Bruno (Alma) Muehler, 81, were held Dec. 30 from Peace United Church of Christ here (Dorchester, WI). Rev. Milton Petzold, pastor, officiated at the 1:30 PM rites. Mrs. Jerome Rankl was organist, and the soloist Mrs. Donald Albrecht sang “Abide with Me” and “ What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

Burial was in Dorchester Memorial North (Peace) Cemetery under the direction of Maurina funeral Home. Pallbearers were Ed Blasel, Elmer Blasel, Donald Grafunder, Alvin Zugier, Gordon Anderson and Lester Lueddecke.

Mrs. Muehler died Dec. 27 in Memorial Hospital, Medford, where she had been a patient two weeks. She lay in state in Maurina funeral Home after 3 PM last Wednesday.

Mrs. Muehler, a life-long resident of this community, was born Alma Lueddecke May 30, 1890. She attended Dorchester High School, and on Oct. 6, 1908, she and Bruno Muehler were married in Peace Evangelical and Reformed Church here. They farmed in the town of Holton throughout the years. She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, and its Women's Guild.

Surviving are her widower; two daughters: Mrs. Nora Mueller, Eagle River, and Mrs. Theodore (Helen) Eertmoed, Tremont, Ill; three grandchildren ; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Plockelman, Sheboygan. A son, three brothers, and three sisters preceded her in death.
