Goerg, Dolores M. (Hoffman) (6 DEC 1926 - 2 FEB 2013)

Dolores M. Goerg, 86, Medford, died on Saturday, Feb. 2 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Medford, where she had resided the past three months. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Hemer Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

The former Dolores Hoffman was born on December 6, 1926 in Cudahy to the late Charles V. and Rose Marie (Deml) Hoffman. She attended Cudahy elementary schools, graduated from Cudahy High School and attended Taylor County Normal School in Medford.

On October 7, 1950 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married Delmar "Del" Goerg, who preceded her in death on June 18, 2010. She taught elementary education at rural Taylor County elementary schools.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with family, reading and traveling throughout the country.

Survivors include four children, Mary (Russell) Sanderson of Colorado Springs, Colo., John (Marge) of Forest Lake, MN, David (Susan) of Little Canada, MN, and Patricia (Ed) Doboszenski of Maple Grove, MN; a sister, Rose (Pete) Themar of Medford; and three grandchildren, Sheena and Sierra Goerg of Little Canada and Nicholas Doboszenski of Maple Grove.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and George Hoffman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Holy Rosary Church and School.
