Kaczor, John (14 Jun 1905 – 13 Feb 1977)
John Kaczor, 71, Route 2, Withee, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at his home, in the
Town of Maplehurst, Taylor County.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in
Owen, with the Rev. E.N. Stillings, pastor of St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church,
officiating. Burial will be in Withee Riverside Cemetery.
Visitations may be made after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kaczor was born June 14, 1905 at Calumet, Michigan, and married the former
Wanda Gay on August 6, 1932, at Thorp. He had moved to Thorp at the age of 5.
He worked at Detroit and later farmed in the Town of Maplehurst for 40 years. He
had also worked as a janitor for the Owen-Withee school system from 1962 to
1975.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Jacque) Grun, De Pere; two
brothers, Mike, Chicago, and Nick, Owen; a sister, Mrs. Rose Janus, Chicago, and
two grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
