David Bernard Lesczynski, 55, died Saturday, August 4, 2001 in Kirksville, Mo. where he resided. He was a former Athens resident. He was a graduate of St. Anthony's Catholic School, and a graduate of the Athens High School.

Funeral services were held Aug. 8 at the Catholic Newman Center, Kirksville, Mo. with the Rev. Oligschlaeger presiding. Pallbearers were Alfred Cadena, Sr., Alfred Caden, Jr., Bryan Collier, Jim Speelman, Winston Vanderhoof and Michael Willman, Jr. Honorary bearers were Michael Bird, Ralph Cupelli, Bill Floyd, Bill Lovegreen, Jack Magruder and Glen Wehner. The Travis-Noe Funeral Home, Kirksville, Mo. assisted the family with arrangements.
