Mischnick, Edward (10 Dec. 1900 - 22 May 1989)

MOSINEE - Edward Mischnick, 88, Mosinee, father of Edward Mischnick, Jr., of Junction City, died Monday at St. Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, town of Knowlton, with the Rev. Francis Przbylski officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, from 6-9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday. A parish rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1900, in the Dancy area, Marathon County, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mischnick. He married Elizabeth Betlach Oct. 28, 1928 in Sun Prairie.

He and his wife farmed in the town of Knowlton until retiring in the early 1970s. He was a school board member for the former Dancy School.

Besides his son, he is survived by his wife, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
