News From Milan

Mr. and Mrs. John Schreiber and daughter, Catherine, were at Mosinee Wednesday evening to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Ganser. Mrs. Schreiber remained to visit with her daughter until Friday.

A chimney fire, which filled the Bernard Ellenbecker home with smoke, early Friday, was extinguished by the Athens fire department as the fire was spreading to the roof.

Miss Geraldine Haderlein, who attends the University of Wisconsin, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haderlein.

Sgt. Leslie Schaefer came home from Washington, D.C., to attend the wedding of his brother, Werner, and to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Werner Schaefer.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Vesely and children of St. Paul, spent the week end at the home of his brother, Anton, and also attended the wedding of their nephew, Werner Schaefer, to Christine Burger.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt and son, Alfred, were dinner guests at the Elsie Herrmann home, Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs visited with his father, Fred Laabs, who is a patient at the Marshfield hospital, on Sunday.

Mrs. Ervin Boser was home at attend the wedding of her brother, Werner Schaefer, Saturday and to visit for a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Werner Schaefer.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ostertag, Lake Elmo, Minn., are visiting their sister, Mrs. Herbert Paulson, and family, and three brothers, Fred, Rueben and Enos Mantik, and their families.
