Donavon J. Bohman, 75, Stratford, died on Friday, September 11, 2009 at his home in the Town of Frankfort, Marathon County.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Stratford. Rev. Thomas Rudolph will preside and music will be provided by St. Joseph’s Resurrection Choir. Burial will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sauter - Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

 

Sauter - Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donavon J. Bohman, age 75, Stratford, died on Friday, September 11, 2009 at his home in the Town of Frankfort, Marathon County.

Donavon was born May 28, 1934 in Stratford to Louis and Helen (Walters) Bohman. He was raised on a farm north of Stratford and attended St. Joseph’s Parochial School in Stratford.

 

He married Dorothy E. Ven Rooy on October 5, 1957 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby. Don took over the family farm and also was a milk hauler until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed hauling sand and gravel with his dump truck, tinkering in his shop, and camping and fishing at Eagle River.

 

Don is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and five children, seven grandchildren and one

great granddaughter. His children are Linda Bohman, Marshfield, Cindi Petri,

Marshfield, and her children Jaime Seehafer and her daughter, Katelynn Seehafer, and Jason Petri; Patrick (Debra) Bohman of Spencer and their son Jesse Bohman; Gary (Sarah) Bohman of Stratford and their children, Eric, Ariel, Alex and Evan Bohman; and Kelly Bohman of Stratford. He is further survived by three brothers and a sister, Alan (Alice) Bohman of Mosinee, Gerald (Myrna) Bohman of Mosinee, Clifford (Rosemary) Bohman of Stratford, and Mary Ann (Robert) Wirkus of Stratford.

 

He was predeceased by his parents, a son-in-law, Glen Petri, a grandson, Adam and two brothers and a sister in infancy.
