Knetter, Mary E. (April 15, 1981 - October 29, 2008)

Mary E. Knetter, 27, Edgar, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.

She was born April 15, 1981, in Marshfield, daughter of Stephen and Betty (Punke) Knetter. She was a 1999 graduate of Edgar High School, attended UW Marshfield/Wood County and graduated in 2004 from UW River Falls with degrees in Marketing and Communications as well as Animal Science.

Among her many interests she loved animals, enjoyed spending time with her horse, Sadie her dog, Charlie and her kitties. Mary was very artistic with a flair for painting and drawing. She also enjoyed horse magazines, nature, spending time outdoors and volunteered at church. With her good sense of humor, Mary could always make you laugh. In the spirit of giving, Mary donated her long, deep colored hair, three times to the Locks of Love Program.

Survivors include her parents, Steve and Betty Knetter, Edgar; two siblings, Brian Knetter, Edgar and Kathy Knetter, Marshfield; her grandmothers, Rose Knetter, Edgar and Bernice Punke, Marshfield; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers; Mike Knetter and John Punke, uncles; Hilbert and Elmer Punke, cousins; Mike and Rich Wentland and Ardell Punke.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cassel. Rev. Barnabas Kyea will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Pallbearers for the service will be, Dan Knetter, Lance Knetter, Joe Knetter, Jeff Karlen, Jordan Kaiser and Brandon Kaiser. The musician will be Sue Knetter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sacred Heart CCD Program.
