Albert Tessmer (1893 - 4 May 1949)

Albert Tessmer, 56, former resident of this community (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), suffered a fatal heart attack last Thursday, May 4, in Detroit, Mich., where he has resided the past 15 years. Funeral services were held there on Monday of this week, and burial was in a Detroit cemetery.

Mr. Tessmer was born here in 1893, and lived here until 1934, when he and his family moved to Detroit. He was an uncle of Donald Tessmer of this community.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Stella Tessmer; a son, Lawrence, at home, and two daughters, Mrs. Warren (Bernice) Schultz, and Mrs. Gilbert (Gladys) Houth, all of Detroit; a brother, Charles at Loyal; three sisters, Mrs. Herman Meyer, Marshfield; Mrs. Herman Lawrenceson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Emma Schultz, Chicago; and three grandchildren.

A brother, Gus, preceded him in death, and a daughter died while the family resided here.
