Schopfer, Ginger Mae (15 FEB 1964)

Large bouquets of red and white carnations, mums, glads and snapdragons decorated the altar when Ginger Mae Schopfer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schopfer, Owen and Dean Marcott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Galen Marcott, Curtiss, were married on Saturday, February 15, in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Owen.  Rev. Arnold Woodring officiated at 2:00 o’clock wedding.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a luxurious floor length gown of chantilly type lace and gossamer sheer tulle.  The scalloped bateau neckline etched with sequins and long traditional tapered sleeves accented the fitted lace bodice.  The bouffant skirt was fashioned with a lace peplum falling into peaks over tiers of ruffled tulle.  A crown of pearl with crystal trim held her bouffant veil.  She carried a cascade bouquet of large red roses and white feathered carnations.

Judie Schopfer, sister of the bride, was maid of honor wearing a bright red velvet street length dress featuring a semi scoop neckline, long tapered sleeves and a full skirt.  Her pearl crown held her blush veil in harmonizing color.  She carried a crescent bouquet of red and white mums and pom-poms.

Janet Karow and Mrs. Lois Marcott, bridesmaids, were attired the same as the maid of honor.  They carried crescent bouquets of white mums and pom-poms.  The attendants wore necklaces that were gifts of the bride.

Bill Bjornstad attended the groom as best man.  The groomsmen were Dennis and Dudley Marcott brothers of the groom.

Ushers were Craig Carlson, Owen, and Dave Ulczyski, Rib Lake.

Flower girl was Rita Marcott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Marcott of Owen, wearing a bright red velvet dress styled the same as the bridesmaids.  Her crown featured a rosette and veil.  She carried red roses.

During the service, Louise Rohland sang Because and I Love You Truly, accompanied by Carolyn Fijalkiewicz.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.

The bride, a 1963 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, has been employed at Sun Electric in Chicago where her husband works for the Neuendorf Transportation Co.

The bride and groom will make their home at 1000 East Cass Street, Joliet, Illinois.
