MRS. BENJAMIN HOLLIDAY DIES OF HEART ATTACK

After being bedridden by a lingering illness for several months Mrs. Benjamin Holliday succumbed to a heart attack, Friday, March 27.  Death came to her at her home in the Town of Hoard.

She had attained the advanced age of 91 years and five months.

Funeral services were held on 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon, March 30 from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral home.  Rev. Darrell Bush of the Gospel Tabernacle officiated with burial being made at Riverside cemetery.  Pallbearers included Frank Goodwin, Paul Lampkins, Van Caldwill, Thomas Watson, Russell Klug and James Barrett.

The deceased was born October 15, 1872, in Alabama.  In 1887 she married the late Oscar Adams who passed away in 1907.  January 23, 1923, she remarried exchanging vows with Benjamin Holliday in a ceremony which took place in Georgia.  The couple came to this community from Milwaukee in 1944 settling on a farm in the Town of Hoard.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Holiday, three sons, Harvey Adams, Owen, Y. Z. Adams, Youngstown, Ohio and Braden Adams, Carollton, Georgia; 18 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren.
