CURTISS NEWS

The Curtiss firemen and their wives attended the North Central Firemen’s Association meeting at Rib Lake on Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Sherman Long and Mrs. Lawrence Klemetson visited several days last week at the Warren Meyers home in Racine.

Confirmation services were held Sunday morning at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Roger Tellock, Pastor.  Confirmants were Donna Olson, Rhonda Mattson, Tanna House, Pamela Krueger, Karen Weideman, Steven Laabs and Jackie Strassburger.

Patsy Laaabs, student at Oshkosh Teacher’s College, spent the weekend at her home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Wardwell and children of La Crosse were weekend guests at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Erickson.

Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Smith of Appleton and Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and sons of Chili were Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. Martha Harmel.  Additional supper guests were Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ackerman.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Laabs entertained the following relatives and guests at dinner and supper Sunday in honor of their son’s confirmation: Mrs. Augusta Stacke, Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laabs, Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Harris and children, Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Laabs, Abbotsford, Ervin Koerner, Lester Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs, Mr. ad Mrs. Arthur Laabs and Susan, Rev. and Mrs. Roger Tellock and family, Curtiss.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Laabs of Bay City, Mich., visited several days at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Laabs.  Other guests over Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Goff and daughter of Beaver Dam.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Geary and Dorothy attended a birthday party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Nenzel on Monday evening.
