Gullickson, John (17 April 1889 - 22 March 1969)

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Georgas Funeral Home for John Gullickson, 79, of Memorial Home, who died Saturday in Neillsville. The Rev. E. G. Burtness of the Calvary Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Gullickson was born April 17, 1889, in Arendale, Norway. He received his education in Norway and came to the United States as a young man. The family located on a farm north of Neillsville. He worked for several years at the blacksmith trade and was a plumber for over 35 years. He retired in 1965 due to failing health. He was married April 11, 1915, in Neillsville to the former Gunda Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Gullickson entered Memorial Home in 1968.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Melford (Ann) Catlin of Milwaukee and Mrs. Wilbur (Helen) Bardell of Antioch, Ill.; and a son, Henry Gullickson of St. Paul, Minn. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Hellen Ostling of memorial home; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Herman Moen, George Shaw, Carl Thoma, Clarence Bardell, Fred Subke and Carl Allen. Mrs. E. G. Burtness was the organist.
