Molle, Darlene (1949)

Prien-Molle

In a 6 o’clock candlelight service Wednesday, April 20, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Riplinger, Miss Darlene Molle became the bride of Eugene Prien. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Molle, Unity, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Prien, Riplinger. Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. August Quandt.

The bride was gowned in white sheer ninon over satin, fashioned with a long train and lace-edged yoke. Her finger-tip veil was caught to a cornet of seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of Easter lilies.

Miss Juanita Molle, as her sister’s maid of honor, wore a gown of Green moire taffeta with a matching bonnet, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mrs. Milton Prien, Spencer, as bridesmaid, was attired in a gown of yellow moire taffeta, with matching bonnet. Her bouquet was of pink carnations.

The groom was attended by his brother, Milton Prien, Sr., of Spencer.

Miss Paulette Zimmerman, neice [sic] of the bride, in a gown of white taffeta, served as flower girl. Richard Radtke, nephew of the groom was ring bearer.

Dinner and supper were served to relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mrs. Prein is a graduate of Unity High School, and has been a beautician in the Spencer beauty Shoppe, and Mr. Prein of Colby High School.

Following a trip to the southern part of the state, the young couple will make their home in Riplinger where the groom is employed at the Riplinger Box factory.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
