Steinwand, Kathleen (6 JUN 1964)

The marriage of Miss Kathleen Steinwand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand of Colby, and George Hellmann of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Hellmann of South Fort Mitchel, Ky., took place Saturday morning, June 6, 1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, with the Rev. John Pinion officiating at a 10:30 a.m. ceremony.

For her wedding, the bride chose a floor length dress of cyrstal peau with a controlled skirt. Her ensemble was completed with a simulate lace bolero, and an open lace pillbox headpiece with a shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses.

The bride's sister, Mrs. Julius Kademan of Marshfield, was the matron of honor. Jerome Hellmann of Waverly, Ohio, served as best man for his brother.

The bride's attendant was adorned in a street length dress of powder blue silk shantung with a matching open pillbox headpiece and a face veil. She carried an arrangement of white daisies.

White shasta daisies followed in theme as the church decorations.

Music during the ceremony was provided by the parish's children's choir.

A dinner was served at Abbotsford following the ceremony, and a reception was held for about 50 guests at the home of the bride's parents.

The young couple will make their home at Des Plaines, Ill., where the groom is employed as a field engineer for Altec Corp. The bride was formerly employed as a lab technician at the Marshfield Clinic.

Guests attending the wedding came from South Fort Mitchel, Ky., Waukesha, Wis., Northlake, Ill., Lake Tomahawk, Wis., Marshfield, Wis., and the Colby-Abbotsford area.
