Kapfhamer, Jean Marie (Marriage - 7 June 1969)

Miss Jean Marie Kapfhamer of Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Kapfhamer of Rt. 1 Stetsonville, became the bride of Alan Paul Bushman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bushman of Rt. 1 Greenwood, Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in Stetsonville. The Rev. James Hart officiated at a 12:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Mr. Kapfhamer escorted his daughter to the altar. She wore a white, floor-length, long-sleeved gown with a scalloped neckline of Chantilace. Her empire waistline was accented by a tiny bow. The A-line skirt was of nylon organza with panels of lace. A complete yoke of lace, and organza bordered by lace, formed a detachable chapel train that flowed from her shoulders, and her pearl-trimmed headpiece of petals held a three-tier, bouffant veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Jane Weher of Marshfield was maid-of-honor. Linda Kapfhamer, Pat Krueger and Rita Bushman, all of Marshfield, were bridesmaids. Their candied pink empire-styled gowns featured Watteau trains and self-styled bow headpieces with veiling. They wore long white gloves. Topiary balls of pink roses and peppermint and mint carnations formed their bouquets.

Russell Rietz of Greenwood was bestman. Roger Kyle, David Bushman and Dennis Syth, all of Greenwood, swerved as groomsmen. Ushers were Robert Goessl of Medford and Bill Lindner of Greenwood.

Mrs. Leonard La Berge was organist. A wedding reception was held at Memorial Hall in Dorchester. After a wedding trip, they will reside on Rt. 1 Greenwood.

Mrs. Bushman is a 1966 graduate of Medford High School, and attended Marshfield University Center for a year. She is a surgical technician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Mr. Bushman is a Greenwood High School graduate, and attended both Marshfield University Center and River Falls University for a year. He farms and works at the Wuethrich Creamery in rural Greenwood.
