St. Mary's Catholic Church at Colby was the scene of a nuptial mass Saturday, July 18, 1964, at 1:30 p.m., when Miss Carol Jean Young, Milwaukee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Young Sr., Colby, became the bride of Roger Stephen Luzinski of gibson City, Ill., son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Luzinski, Colby. Father Blenker officiated at the ceremony and the children's choir of St. Mary's sang.

The bride chose a gown of Ice blue taffeta and white Alencon lace, the bodice featuring short summer sleeves of hand-run Alencon lace, and the empire line tube skirt of taffeta and a small square train of Alencon lace bordered by the taffeta. Her veil of ice blue was held by an ice blue pillbox hat. She carried a cascade arrangement of pink roses and white stephanotis with streamers extending from it.

Mrs. Dorothy Young, Milwaukee, sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor, and Mrs. Sandra Luzinski, Forrest, Ill., sister-in-law of the groom, and Mrs. Shirley Kops, Unity, sister of the bride, were the bridesmaids. They were attired in sheaths with overskirts in apricot organza clasped in front with a self-bow, the bodices featuring circle necklines and short summer sleeves. Their headpieces were made of apricot carnations and they carried bouquets of apricot and white carnations with streamers attached.

Richard Young of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, was the best man, and Stanley Luzinski, Forrest, Ill., and William Luzinski, Colby, brother of the groom, were groomsmen.

Mrs. Young attended her daughter's wedding in a beige ensemble, with which she wore pink accessories, and a corsage of pink roses and white carnations. Mrs. Luzinski was present in a yellow ensemble with matching accessories. Her corsage was of red roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Cathryn Carpenter and Mrs. Bertha Young, grandmothers of the bride, were honored with corsages of pink and white carnations.

A reception at the Colby City hall followed the ceremony, after which dinner was served at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Hall, Colby. A wedding dance was held at Dorchester Memorial Hall. The bride and groom are both graduates of Colby High School. The bride ahd been employed as a beautician and the groom is a carpenter. The young couple will make their home at 127 N. Guthrie, Gibson City, Ill.
