Johnson, Sylvia Ann (Marriage - 30 August 1969)

A 2 p.m. wedding mass Saturday joined in marriage, Miss Sylvia Ann Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Rt. 1 Cambridge, and Clemens Joseph Schultz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schultz of Rt. 2 Neillsville. The Rev. Fr. Turner officiated at the double -ring ceremony at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Edgerton.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length, empire-styled gown of lace over satin, with long lace sleeves and a cathedral length, detachable train. A satin rose headpiece secured her cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of white and gold ‘mums.

Miss Marilyn Sivesind of Cambridge was maid-of-honor. Miss Irene Prior and Miss Sharon Schlicher, both of Milwaukee, were bridesmaids. Their floor-length gowns were of pastel yellow chiffon over crepe, with long, bouffant chiffon sleeves. Each carried a bouquet of ‘mums and daisies.

Markus Schultz served his brother as bestman. Groomsmen were James Greenly and Jerry Tripp, both of Milwaukee.

A reception was held in the church parlors, with 250 guests attending, followed by a later reception at the bride’s parents’ home. A 9 p.m. wedding dance was given at Edward’s Park, near Madison.

Relatives and friends from Cambridge, Edgerton, Madison, Milwaukee and Neillsville area attended.

The bride, a 1969 graduate of the Patricia Stevens Career College is employed as a legal secretary for an insurance firm. The groom is a Neillsville High School graduate and is attending the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He expects to finish in two years. He is a member of the Triangle fraternity. He is employed as a sales engineer for a Milwaukee firm.

Mr. and Mrs. Schultz will reside at 4070 S. Packard Ave. St. Francis.
