Mielke, Emilie (27 SEP 1885 - 27 SEP 1964)

Funeral services for Mrs. Emilie Mielke, 79, Colby, were held Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Burial was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery. The body had lain in state at Lulloff Funeral Home. The Rev. H.A. Woodworth officiated.

Mrs. Mielke died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 1964.

Emilie Mielke was born Emilie Molzahn, in Lodz, Poland, on Sept. 27, 1885. On July 16, 1916, she married Leopold Mielke at Chicago. The couple farmed in the town of Frankfort until moving into the city of Colby about 17 years ago. Her husband died in 1962. They had no children. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Mielke is survived by one sister, Bertha Polz, who is living in Poland; one nephew, Henry Brudke, Lombard, Ill., and other nieces and nephews in Germany.
