Gierl, Laurnia (Marriage - 20 September 1969)

Approximately 90 guess were present at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby Saturday for the marriage of Laurnia Gierl of Colby to Frank Seidel of Dorchester, in a double-ring ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

The bride chose a street-length coat dress of pearl gray satin with a belt-effect pleated back. The rolled collar was accented with crystal beads. She wore a pink petal headpiece and white gloves. She carried two shades of pink roses on a white clutch purse.

Mrs. Elaine Hebert served her mother as matron-of-honor. She wore a street-length coat dress of blue faille, with a pleated belt-effect and a blue petal headpiece.

Donald Seidel, son of the groom, was best man. Richard McNeight of Stratford and Ward Keller of Calumet City, Ill., were ushers.

The Children’s choir of St. Mary’s church sang.

A reception was held at the Colby city hall, followed by a dinner in Colby for 100 guests.

Mrs. Seidel is employed in Marshfield, and the groom in Dorchester.

After September 27 they will reside in Colby.
