Stella Jean Laski, 75, of Owen, passed away on July 1, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial service will be held after a luncheon following mass.

Stella was born March 12, 1938, in Greenwood, to Martin & Mable (Zdryjkowski) Harycki. She attended Oakland Grade School and graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1956. She then worked in Milwaukee and Chicago before marrying James Laski on August 16, 1958.

Stella worked as a secretary for the Withee Grade School and then for the Owen-Withee High School until 1981. She then worked for Kerry Foods until retirement.

Stella is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Linda (Mark) Levan, Stoddard; two brothers, Frank (Martha) Harycki, Greendale and Gerald Harycki, Medford; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Allan Laski; and sister, Frances Wandrie.

Stella loved to work in her flower gardens, out fish her grandsons, and was an avid quilter. She was a member and past co-president of the Curtiss Corners Quilt Club. She received many awards for her quilts and wall hangings. Stella enjoyed spending time with her birthday club friends, her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. There was nothing more important to Stella than her family and friends, and watching the Packer games.

Memorials may be designated to the House of Dove in Marshfield, WI.
