Bertz, Roberta Marie (13 NOV 1965)

The Rev. Edward J. Bertz of La Crosse officiated at the wedding of Miss Roberta Marie Bertz and Ralph Peter Warmuth at St. Anthony’s Catholic church, Loyal, on November 13 at 10:30 a.m.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Bertz, Sr. of Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Warmuth, Sun Prairie.  Mr. Bertz gave his daughter in marriage as Mrs. Edward M. Trnka presided at the organ and the children’s coir sang.  Arrangements of fall chrysanthemums adorned the altar.

Miss Bertz wore a floor length gown with sequin trimmed round neckline on a Basque bodice of Chantilly lace.  The bouffant skirt featured ruffled tiers of nylon tulle edged with lace in the front and the back revealing a flounce of lace edged with nylon tulle at the hemline.  Her bouffant silk illusion veil was secured to a queen’s crown edged with pearl and trimmed with aurora borealis crystal.  White roses and feathered turquoise carnations, edged with petal leaves and tied with a bow, comprised her cascade bouquet.

Mrs. Anthony Ehlenfeldt, Glendale Heights, Illinois, served as the matron of honor, and Jeannie Kocher, Greenwood, bridesmaid.  They wore dresses with fitted midriff and bateau necklines above semi-full skirts formed by un-pressed pleats and completed in back by Watteau panels with bow trim.  Each had a matching open crown pillbox with bow trim and pouf veil.  The aides each carried cascades of gold and tangerine carnations with loops of rainbow ribbon accented the turquoise formals.

Gerald Warmuth, Sun Prairie, served the groom as best man and John Bertz, Jr., Loyal as the groomsman.  Paul Fehrman and Bill Herr performed the ushering duties.

A dinner was served in the church basement and the reception took place in the Legion Hall in Greenwood.

The new Mrs. Warmuth attended St. Mary’s School in Greenwood and has been employed at Prairie Diner No. 2 in sun Prairie.  The groom attended St. Joseph’s School in East Bristol and works as a concrete finisher.  After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple will live on Buena Vista Street in Sun Prairie.

Guests attending the wedding came from Madison, Sun Prairie, Greenwood, Loyal, Slinger, Marshfield, Glendale Heights, Illinois; Lodi, Colby and Neillsville.
