Wehrman, Erna (10 FEB 1912 – 09 MAY 1987)

Funeral services were held Wednesday;, May 13 at Immanuel United Church of Christ for Erna Wehrman, 75, Greenwood.  Mrs. Wehrman died at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 1987 at St. Joseph’s Hospice Unit, Marshfield.

Rev. John Tschudy officiated at the service, with burial in Westside Cemetery.

Erna Miller was born Feb. 10,1912 in the town of Eaton to Albert and Lydia (Reineking) Miller.  She received her education at the West Eaton Center School.

On Sept. 24, 1931, she and Arthur Wehrman were married at the Westside Church.  After their marriage they farmed in the town of Beaver. After her husband’s death on Aug. 29, 1954, she moved to the city of Greenwood and worked for Decker’s grocery store.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ and its Women’s Guild and a member of Senior Citizen’s and the German Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jeanette) Suda and Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Noeldner, both of Greenwood; one son, Art of Loyal, one sister, Mrs. Walter (Martha) Decker, Greenwood; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Arno.

Pallbearers at the funeral service were Rick, Dennis and Elliot Suda, Steve Noeldner, James Kirn and James Herdrich.

Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
