This locality has a splendid rain Saturday. It prevented seeding, but did a great deal of good.

The Ayer boys sold their baled hay to Mr. Aller of Unity, at $11 per ton.

Lightning is getting quite gay. Last Monday Ed Stowe had a cow killed, and on Saturday afternoon Chas. Schultz, in the town of Colby, had two horses killed. This comes hard just now when every horse is needed in the farm work.

Dr. Christofferson has been attending Doris and Mildred Burgess, who have been very sick, but are better now.

Little Owen Stowe was quite sick last week.

Dr. Schwarze of Greenwood did veterinary work for Geo. Laughead the week before last.

The death of the infant of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Nelson of Beaver occurred May 5th. The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of the entire community. The funeral service was held in the Beaver Church by the Rev.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stowe and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flower spent Sunday at George Laughead's.
