Plank, Mr./Mrs. Sylvester (Gold - 19 MAR 1952)

Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Plank observed their golden wedding anniversary at their home in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) Wednesday evening, March 19, 1952, with all of their children and grandchildren present for the occasion.

A bouquet of golden daffodils, a gift from the grandchildren, decorated the home, and a wedding cake topped with a frosted basket which contained pastel colored sweet peas and flanked with four gold-colored candles in a candelabra, formed the centerpiece at the table.

Mrs. Plank, nee Pearl Callow, daughter of James and Ann Callow, was born in Linden Oct. 7, 1880. Mr. Plank, son of Adam and Olivia Plank, was born in Mineral Point Feb. 24, 1880.

Mr. and Mrs. Plank were married in Mineral Point March 19, 1902. They lived in the southern part of Wisconsin until they moved to their present farm, two miles east of Greenwood, in May 1921.

They have six children: Mrs. Helen Francis, Neillsville; Miss Alice Plank at home; James Plank, Greenwood; Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Neuenfeldt, Spencer; Mrs. Mildred Carney and Mrs. Jack (Margaret) Richards, both of Chicago.

Their seven grandchildren are Ann and Nancy Francis, James Carney, John, Bruce and Robert Neuenfeldt, and David Richards.

Other guests included Mrs. James Plank, Charles Neuenfeldt of Spencer, Harris Schoengarth of Neillsville, and Bill Rellis, Loyal.

The Planks received many gifts and congratulatory messages in observance of the event.
