Peters, Janice (Marriage - 26 June 1971)

Miss Janice Peters and Robert Ott were married Saturday, June 26, at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Milwaukee. The Rev. Leo S. Kowalski officiated at the nuptial mass which united the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ott and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Peters, Sr., both couples of Milwaukee. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Marie Keller of Neillsville.

The bride wore an empire-length gown of acetate and nylon lace styled with a flowered trim of scallops edging the hemline and cuffs. Her veil was held by a pillbox headpiece and she carried a bouquet of red roses.

The matron of honor was Mrs. Katherine Tast of Oak Creek. Mary Jo Provencher of Green Bay was the bridesmaid and Susan Peters, sister of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. All wore gowns of pink lace fashioned with scooped necklines and short puffed sleeves. They carried bouquets of white gladioli and pink carnations.

Donald Decker was bestman. John Ott served his brother as groomsman. Ushers were Melvin Ott and Wayne Kipp, brother and cousins of the groom, respectively. Acolytes were Randolph Ott and Tom Jablonowski. The bride’s brother, Clifford Peters, Jr., was the ringbearer.

A reception and dance honoring the couple was held at the Triangle Hall in Milwaukee in the evening.
