Holtzheimer, Waunda J. (Erikson) (14 AUG 1967 - 8 DEC 2013)

Waunda J. Holtzheimer, 46, of Manitowoc, died on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on September 11, 1967, in Hartford, daughter of Mary Jane and the late, David Erikson. Waunda was a graduate of Colby High School, class of 1986, and then attended St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Radiology, receiving her Associates Degree in 1988.

On June 14, 1986, she married David Holtzheimer in Colby. Waunda was a CT Technologist at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, until she resigned to home school her children.

She was very active in her church, New Life Christian Church, singing on the worship team, working with the youth groups and volunteering her time to various ministries such as trips to Eagle’s Nest Ministries Orphanage in Mexico and spending time with Lois. Waunda enjoyed camping and was active with her husband, David, in the business they co-owned together, Integrity Improvements & Remodeling.

Survivors include her husband, David Holtzheimer, Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law: Tyler & Dana Holtzheimer, DePere; a daughter, Kelsie Holtzheimer, Manitowoc; her mother, Mary Jane Erikson, Spencer; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda & Greg Potts, Freedom; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Raymond & Suzanne Holtzheimer, Curtiss; a brother-in-law, Dan Holtzheimer; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jannie & Eric Phillips. Also surviving are 11 nieces and nephews, Rachel, Josh, Savanah, Petey, Julie, Kerri, Dan, Darin, Karrisa, Brittany and Rachel; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, David Erikson and a sister-in-law, Julie Holtzheimer.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Calvary Assembly of God, 1455 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Mike Kleinhans from New Life Christian Church, Manitowoc, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Calvary Assembly of God, 1455 North Rapids Road, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, until 12:45 p.m.

Waunda was known for not having a green thumb. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Waunda’s name to Eagle’s Nest Orphanage through Wiley Ministries, Gospel for Asia, Franklin Graham Disaster Relief or Life Houses through New Life Ministries.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
