Bell, Connie Kay (06 May 1967)

Miss Connie Kay Bell, Madison, and Wayne W. Demuth, Madison, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Church, Merrimac. The Rev. David Worm performed the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford M. Bell, Prairie du Sac, and Mrs. William Demuth, Loyal and the late Mr. Demuth.

The bride given in marriage by her father, wore a regal floor length empire A-line gown of shantung linen and chantilly lace. The bodice of chantilly lace was styled with a high neckline, long gracefully pointed sleeves and accented by a chapel train of chantilly lace. Her lace petal crown band accented by seed pearls, held her imported silk illusion elbow-length veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink sweetheart roses.

Mrs. Ronnie Zeman, was her sister’s matron of honor and Miss Corinne Demuth, sister of the groom was the bridesmaid,

Their floor-length gowns of baby blue peau d’ sole were fashioned with short cuffed sleeves and high boat necklines. Tiny blue and white daisies accented the princess waistline. A cluster of blue daisies secured their blue blush veils. They carried wicker baskets of painted daisies.

Michael Demuth served as best man for his brother and Charles F. Bell, cousin of the bride, was groomsman. Serving as ushers were Jack Werner, friend of the groom and Joe Wilson, cousin of the bride.

A buffet reception was held following the ceremony at the Prairie du Sac Elementary school, before the couple left on a honeymoon to Montreal.

On return of their trip they will reside at 1822 W. Broadway, Madison. Mrs. Demuth is employed as a secretary with the University of Wisconsin Press and Mr. Demuth, a January graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Business, is employed as an accountant with Houghton, Taplick & Co., Madison.
