Bast pitched gilt edge ball and had the
Wausau team whiffing the air. Bast, although in hot water several times on
account of lack of control, braced and held the Wausau team safe. His work in
this game shows that he will be a worthy foe for all teams. The Wausau team
garnered but three hits off his delivery, and in the meantime he also struck out
