Clark County Male Chorus (Election of Officers - 1971)

Officers for the 1971-1972 singing year were elected Monay evening at the fall organizational meeting of the Clark County Male Chorus. Harry Johnson, Greenwood, was re-elected president of the group. Others re-elected to office were Arv Dopp, governor, and Fred Kieser, secretary, both of Neillsville.

Newly elected officers include Kenneth Steiger, vice president, and Donald Noeldner, treasurer. Both are from Greenwood.

Directors appointed to their positions include Gary Schultz, Greenwood, John Olson, Loyal, and Kendall Smith, Neillsville. Herman Noeldner, Loyal, is the organization’s historian.

The singing group will again be under the direction of Vern Dahlby of Loyal. Kendall Smith fills the position of assistant director. Brooks Rector, Neillsville, is the accompanist.

The Chorus plans three major appearances in the county during the coming organizational year. Included are the annual Spring Sing, the traditional free Christmas Concert, and an additional concert date.

The group will again join with other members of the Upper Midwest District of the Associated Male Choruses of America in the yearly “Big Sing”. The Eau Claire Male Chorus will host the 1972 gathering, scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 22.
