Greenwood (7 October 1971)

Chris Johnson was admitted Saturday to the Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison.

Two films on snowmobiling will be shown October 11 at 8 p.m. at Barr’s Tavern in Greenwood. A lunch will be served.

Mrs. Frank Murphy has moved here and is residing in the Brux trailer court.

Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Grutza and sons, Ryan and Paul, returned to West Allis after a weekend visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ystad.

Mrs. Anna Elmer is spending some time in Chicago with her daughter, Beatrice.

Mr and Mrs. Lawrence Cox spent the weekend in Janesville at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Cox.

Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron are spending some time in Watertown with their daughters, Mrs. Allison Dittmar and Mrs. Cyril Spangler, and their families.

Ronald Ystad came from Nekoosa Sunday evening to attend the father and son banquet with his father, Ralph Ystad, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

The Women’s Guild will meet in Zion United Church at 2 p.m. Mrs. Richard Acker will be in charge of the program. Hostesses will be Mrs. William Kuester, Mrs. Jake Speich and Miss Violet Speich.

The Women’s Society of Christian Service will meet in Grace United Methodist Church Friday at 2 p.m. Hostesses will be Mrs. Henry Keller and Mrs. Fred Clintsman. Mrs. Glen Drew will be program chairman.

The 87th birthday of William Kelty was celebrated October 2 at the Clark County Home for the Aged, where he resides.

The Clar3k County Council of American Legion auxiliaries will meet at Humbird Monday evening, October 11. All Greenwood unit members wishing to attend should contact Mrs. Victor Diercks.

The Jolly H9omemakers will meet at the home of Mrs. Vernon Lust October 12 at 8 p.m. Project leaders will be Mrs. Harold Gardner and Mrs. Jerald Richmond.

The Intersee Club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Leona Syth.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gregorich entertained friends at a card party Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Franz left Tuesday for their home in Mesa, Ariz., after spending the summer with their two daughters, Mrs. Lyle Verhulst of Loyal and Mrs. Richard Acker of Greenwood, and their son, Paul Franz of Elk Mound, and their families.
