Hunt, Linda (Marriage - 2 October 1971)

Miss Linda Hunt and Donald Hakes exchanged wedding vows October 2 at 1 p.m. in Epiphany Lutheran Church, Stanley. The Rev. Robert Olson performed the double ring-ceremony before an altar decorated with bouquets of yellow gladioli and white carnations. More than 200 guests were present.

Mr. and Mrs. Dayton H. Hunt of Rt. Stanley are the parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Hakes of Rt. 3 Stanley.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire style gown of nylon sheer fashioned with a lace-edged scoop neckline and long, full, lace-edged sleeves. A lace-edged mantilla held her cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses and white pompons.

Miss Barbara Depa was the matron of Honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Linda Severson. They were attired in green long-sleeved, high collared, empire style gowns accented by white daisy trim.

Donald Hunt served as bestman. Groomsman was James Hakes. Guests were seated by Larry Hunt, Miss Sally Hunt and Miss Margie Hakes.

Randy Rowan, St. Paul, Minn., was the ringbearer. Alan Hakes, Hartford, was the flowergirl.

The soloist was Miss Fay Lau. Mrs. Dan Nafzger was the organist. A wedding reception was held at the Stanley auditorium, decorations…. (Missing words)….
