Korman, Alice (29 JUL 1916)

Miss Alice Korman of this city, and second dAughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Korman, was married July 29th, at Marinette, Wis., to Earl Erhart Reichel, the noted pedestrian, according to the Sunday Milwaukee Sentinel, under date of a Marinette news note.

The Sentinel says that “Earl Reichel is the noted pedestrian who travels 4500 miles with ease and that his life’s companion says she can keep her husband’s pace and expects to walk with him hereafter to join in his travels on foot.”

Further notice claims that Mr. and Mrs. Reichel will start on an 11,000 mile jaunt next spring to take in most of the west, and will remain in the west for a period of some two-and-a-half years. The entire distance will be made on foot.

Miss Alice Korman has been at Neillsville for the past few years where she has been employed at a restaurant the greater part of the time. Later at Marinette she became acquainted with the noted walker and interest in his travels. Their mutual understanding led to the marriage and she will, according to reports, share the glory of the long hikes with her husband hereafter. – Pittsville Record
