Campus Highlights (March 2014)

Local Students Graduate from UW-Eau Claire

Commencement exercises for students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire were Saturday, December 21, 2013, in Zorn Arena.

Local students who received degrees and their fields of study are:

Stanley, WI: Rachel Potaczek, Nursing and health Sciences, BSN, Nursing; Kathren White, Education and Human Sciences, BSW, social work; Eric Winkler, Business, BBA, accounting.

Thorp, WI: Lindsey Alger, Education and Human Sciences, BS, mathematics; Lindy Bergman, Education and Human Sciences, BS, elementary education; Jenniffer Kulesa, Education and Human Sciences, BS, elementary education; Jeni Luzinski, Arts and Sciences, BA, psychology.

Lewan Qualifies for Chancellor’s Award

Lindy Lewan of Thorp, WI, is a late recipient for the spring 2013 Chancellor’s Award at UW-Stout. Lewan is majoring in BS Graphic design and Interactive media with a minor in applied photography. The Award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Local Students Graduate from UW-Stout

Local students from the area graduated from UW-Stout at the December commencement ceremony.

Nicholas Abramowicz, of Thorp, received a BS Dietetics, BS Health Wellness and Fitness; Rania Brown, of Stanley, received a BS vocational Rehabilitation; Hayley Grunewald, of Boyd, received a BS Graphic Communications Management; Kayla Haas, of Stanley, received a BS Career Technical Education and training; Kaley Johnson, of Withee, received a BS Retail Merchandising and Management and a Business Administration Minor; Scott Lawcewicz, of Thorp, received a BFA Graphic Design and Interactive Media and an Applied Photography Minor; Sarah McQuillan, of Thorp, received a BS Management; John O’Neill, of Cadott, received a BS Business Administration; and Sarah Polzin, of Cadott, received a BS Management and a Business Administration Minor.
