BUDDY BROWN HURT IN AUTO ACCIDENT
Laverne (Buddy) Brown, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Brown of this city is receiving treatment at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield following an automobile accident, south of here on Thursday of last week.

“Buddy”, driving a 2-door sedan, was driving north on Highway 73, near Eaton Center School, 3 miles south of here when his car and one driven by Bob Mason and going in the opposite direction collided. Mason, who is employed on the Alvin Ehlers farm, was accompanied by Lyle Tompkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Tompkins. Neither was hurt although both cars were totally wrecked. The Brown car rolled over five or six times and the Mason car was pushed off the road.

“Buddy” was brought to Greenwood by Arthur Bushman, who was driving along after Buddy. First aid was given by Dr. Wm. Olson and he was taken to the hospital at 7 a.m. The accident occurred about 2 a.m.
Buddy underwent an operation on Thursday afternoon and is gaining nicely.
