Kalepp, DuWayne L. “Wiener” (17 JAN 1936 - 21 FEB 2014)

DuWayne L. “Wiener” Kalepp, age 78, of Abbotsford, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. Rev. Dr. Gary Paul officiated. Burial was held in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Family and friends were welcomed from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford was entrusted with the arrangements.

Wiener was born on January 17, 1936, in Clark County, the son of Harold and Lucille (Bunnell) Kalepp Sr. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1953. Wiener served in the National Guard during the Berlin Crisis and was stationed in Tacoma, Wash., at Fort Lewis. On September 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to M. Suzanne “Susie” Yach at St. Stephen Church Rectory in Stevens Point.

Wiener worked with his father at Kalepp Implement, which was in business over 50 years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing and watching sports.

Wiener is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susie; four sons, Kyle (Kim) of Athens, Kirk (Pam) of Dorchester, Jay (Renee) of Abbotsford, and Tim of Abbotsford; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold “Sonny” (Norma) Kalepp Jr. of Abbotsford; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keith; a brother, Gerald “Peanuts”; and a sister, Jane.
