Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Mauel and daughter, Eleanor, drove to Weyauwega where they are caring for their two granddaughters while their mother, Mrs. Germaine Shreve is seriously ill at Riverside Hospital at Waupaca. Also with them is Mrs. Shreve’s sister, Alice Mauel, of Wausau, who is assisting in attending her as a nurse.

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Anderson and two sons of Baronette arrived Saturday to visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zalabskys. Mrs. Anderson remained here this week, taking care of her mother, who returned home Saturday from St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield following surgery. Mrs. Thomas Kettle of Siren spent the week previous to this, helping at the home of her parents and visiting her mother in the hospital.

Shirley Schnoor of Milwaukee spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorance Schnoor.

Mrs. Roger Nicks and Mrs. Walter Nicks Jr. and Rita Krause left for Topeka, Kan., last Saturday, where Peter Krause will get his discharge.

Mrs. Lee Jenson and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Laube, Mrs. Ella Boxrucker, Mrs. Clara Sailer, Mrs. Martha Peissig and Mrs. Floy Schnoor were supper guests at the Elsa Laube home last Thursday.

Shirley Schnoor called on her grandmother, Mrs. Floy Schnoor, Sunday noon.

Glen Tieman returned home Sunday from Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire.

Mrs. Selma Churkey was a supper guest at the Floy Schnoor home Sunday evening.

Miss Sandra Kangas of Waukegan, Ill. Was a visitor a week ago this past weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kangas, city.

Over the weekend Mrs. Herbie Lehnen of Milwaukee visited here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh Hiebsch. She was accompanied here by Mrs. Arthur Hacker, now of Milwaukee, who enjoyed a visit with friends in the community.

Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cattanach and two daughters arrived from their home in Boscobel, enjoying a visit until Sunday afternoon with his mother, Mrs. L.W. Cattanach and at the home of his brother Bert Cattanach and family.

Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke enjoyed a visit with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lokken at their home in Minneapolis. They were also joined by their daughter Susan, who is a student at Wis. State University at River Falls.

Herbie Lehnen enjoyed a visit from Thursday until Saturday in Milwaukee with his daughter Cindy, an also at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Al Platta.
