Zuber, Bruce A. (25 July 1961 - 8 April 2014)

Bruce A. Zuber. Age 52, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Bruce was born in Lublin, Wisconsin on July 25, 1961, to Martha (Fryza) and Frank Zuber. He attended Gilman area schools, where he graduated in 1979.

Bruce went on to attend District One Technical College in Eau Claire, where he dreamed of becoming an architect, and had an artistic hand with drawings. He worked at Haas Trucking in Thorp, and as an over-the-road trucker for Roehl Transport for many years before taking his current day-runs with US Special Delivery.

Bruce loved the Green Bay Packers, hunting, anything outdoors, traveling and taking family trips, especially the annual trips to Wisconsin Dells. But his most enjoyable time was spent with his girls. Bruce will be remembered for his shenanigans and humor, his BIG HEART, and an unwavering desire to bring a smile to all he interacted with. His love for his family was profound and he recently achieved the proudest moment of his life, becoming a grandfather.

Bruce is survived by his three daughters: Courtney Zuber (Brad Florhaug), Ashley (Justin) Skidmore, and Alexis Zuber; and his three grandchildren: Tobin Florhaug, and his two newest grandchildren, Brelynn Florhaug and Abel Skidmore. He is also survived by his parents: Martha and Frank Zuber; sisters: Rena Zuber and Debbie Sweet and a brother Brian Zuber; along with many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends he made throughout his life.

At this time of sorrow, we celebrate Bruce’s life and the loving presence he brought to all who enjoyed it with him. A visitation was held at Smith Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014. A memorial service followed the visitation beginning at 7:00. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family.
